Do I need to uninstall Vanguard or FACEIT to use a cheat?

What each product asks for

Each row repeats the requirement from that product's page, and closed and uninstalled are not the same thing.

  • Fortnite

    Requirement
Riot Vanguard removed and the PC restarted, if you have Valorant installed
  • TZ Project and TZX Project (FiveM)

    Requirement
Other anti-cheat software and Vanguard uninstalled
  • redENGINE Spoofer (FiveM)

    Requirement
FACEIT anti-cheat and Vanguard uninstalled, not just closed
  • Eulen Menu (FiveM)

    Requirement
    FACEIT anti-cheat and Vanguard closed
  • Arc Raiders

    Requirement
Easy Anti-Cheat uninstalled from every other game on your PC, not only disabled
  • Valorant

    Requirement
Riot Vanguard and every antivirus fully uninstalled, not just switched off

How to do it

  1. Check the product pageIts requirements list names the anti-cheats that have to go, and whether closing them is enough or they have to be uninstalled.
  2. Uninstall, do not just closeWhere the page says uninstalled, remove the program completely. For Riot Vanguard the Fortnite setup uses Revo Uninstaller; Riot's own uninstall guide says it is fully gone once it no longer shows in the system tray after a restart.
  3. Restart the PCRestart before you start the loader, so nothing of the removed anti-cheat is still loaded.
  4. Switching back laterWant to play FACEIT or Valorant again? Reinstall them and restart the PC first, so their anti-cheat drivers load normally again.

Your own antivirus is a separate step: it has to be off while you run the loader. How the anti-cheat inside FiveM itself works is covered in what anti-cheat FiveM uses.
