How do I know if a cheat is detected?

What the three statuses mean

  1. WorkingThe current build was tested against the current anti-cheat before it went live. The status changes the moment anything does.
  2. UpdatingThe game patched and a fix is on the way. The product is paused, not gone: when the new build is out, the badge switches back.
  3. DownThe product is temporarily down. Do not load it until the status changes.

How to check before every session

Finding out by trial is the expensive way. Valve, for example, states that VAC detects cheats by their signatures and that its bans are permanent and cannot be removed by Steam Support.

  1. Open the status pageThe status page lists every product we sell with its live state. The same badge sits on each product page.
  2. Wait out game updatesWhen a game patch lands, the badge switches to Updating until the new build is out. Playing on the old build in that window is the risk you want to avoid.
  3. Watch the announcementsStatus changes are announced first on Discord.
  4. Do not mix up Sold out and UpdatingSold out means there are no keys left for that plan, whatever the status says. It says nothing about detection.

Why a working cheat can still get you banned

Status covers the software, not how it is used. What decides most bans is how you play: rage in a public lobby and collect reports, and no software protects you. Some games also watch behaviour on the server. Rust, for example, runs a server-side anti-cheat that hands out a temporary ban for hitting nothing but heads, whatever runs on your PC.

FiveM servers add their own anti-cheats on top of the client one; see what anti-cheat FiveM uses.

If you think a build is detected

Stop using it and open a ticket on Discord with your order number. If a product does not work as described, refunds are possible within 7 days. The current state of everything else is in the shop, next to each product.
